Within the family, Rudolf Gräff could have claimed the following titles and honors from the extinct Lords of Graben: Burggraf von Saldenhofen (Vuzenica), Herr von Kornberg, Marburg (Maribor/Marburg an der Drau), Obermarburg, Radkersburg, Neudenstein, Weinberg, Graben, Patrizier von Amsterdam.
Rudolf Gräff had inherited this claim after the death of his father, Josef Gräff (1886-1950), but he never formalized his claim during his lifetime, meaning he placed it on hold. Even in subsequent succession, his five sons no longer claimed it. Since 2013, the claim has been maintained by Rudolf's grandson, Matthias Laurenz Gräff (* 1984), son of Helmuth Gräff (* 1958).
